I was born in Gzira, Malta. (Don’t worry, most people have never heard of it.)
My Family moved to Toronto when I was just 2 years old. I grew up here in Toronto and have always enjoyed watching and being in nature. I always wanted to have a career were I could be in nature all day. I first got a taste of Photography in High School. I enjoyed it so much; that I decided to go to Humber College to pursue it as a career.
I started travailing across Ontario and really enjoyed photographing in Algonquin Park, Killarney National Park and most of all, Point Pelee.
After working in the photographic retail field for many years, I have found many people asking me questions about photography and if I could help them with photography and help them improve their skills as well.
In 2000, I was asked to create and teach classes at the Henry’s School of Imaging. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and In 2002 I started teaching night classes at Alexander Mackenzie High School. On June 27th 2006, I decide to start my own school, and the School of Photography was born.
I was first teaching in Libraries and community centers. Then I got my first real location in January 2007. (465 Wilson Ave.)
Then the school moved to 780 Wilson Avenue. (as of July 1st 2010)
We now offer more courses than ever.
In January 2013, I’ve decided to change the school up a bit and I am now teaching at different locations through out Toronto.
In March 2020 and the world is on lockdown and I am now taking my classes and workshops online using ZOOM.us. This is a great opportunity to be able to teach anyone from anywhere at anytime. With this I start a new website mainly devoted to online classes and photo101.ca was created.
Join me at one of my courses online or book a private lesson online.
